Scottsdale, AZ | Onsite – Monday through Friday

Position Overview

A growing, well-established technology services organization in Scottsdale is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team. This onsite role supports daily financial operations, including accounts payable, vendor coordination, billing, and quoting. The position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with senior accounting leadership.

This opportunity is open to direct hire or contract-to-hire candidates.

  • Onsite: Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (can be flexible with start times)
  • Dress Code: Business casual
Key Responsibilities
  • Post payments and maintain accurate accounts payable records
  • Process vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies
  • Communicate with vendors via phone and email
  • Create customer quotes, ensuring accuracy and margin documentation
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions as needed
  • Pull approved invoices for weekly check runs
  • Maintain organized financial documentation for audit and reporting purposes
  • Support reconciliations and basic financial reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting and operations teams
Systems & Tools
  • Legacy accounting system currently in use
  • Migrating to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Prior experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems is highly preferred
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field (minimum two-year degree)
  • 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
  • Experience with AP/AR, billing, and quoting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders
