Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will handle essential accounting operations and collaborate with other corporate staff to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency. Ideal candidates will have strong accounting expertise and the ability to solve problems effectively while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable following established procedures.

- Process vendor invoices, mortgages, and other payments in compliance with organizational policies.

- Deposit funds and verify all transactions with corresponding documentation.

- Review and validate data submitted by managers for accuracy and completeness.

- Reconcile monthly bank statements and prepare sales tax reports.

- Generate annual vendor 1099 forms and other year-end financial reports.

- Develop detailed spreadsheets and reports related to delinquency and budget tracking.

- Address accounting inquiries from employees, vendors, or clients while safeguarding sensitive information.

- Analyze cash flow projections and manage transfers between accounts, keeping thorough records.

- Communicate effectively with relevant staff to ensure smooth accounting operations and timely financial transactions. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.

- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

- Experience preparing journal entries and sales tax reports.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Proven ability to solve problems and communicate effectively.

- High level of attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
