Camelot Homes is seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate payments and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and enjoys working collaboratively to support our operations.
What You’ll Do- Facilitate best-in-class vendor relationships through timely payments and professional communication.
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable; from invoice processing and account maintenance to reconciliations and reporting.
- Review and organize expense reports and receipts; resolve discrepancies with appropriate documentation.
- Maintain accurate, organized electronic records of invoices, payments, and related documents.
- Prepare weekly check runs and manage trade payables.
- Use technology to streamline processes and create efficiencies.
- Provide accurate, professional support in person, by phone, and via email.
- 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience (construction industry experience preferred).
- Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting software (Sage 300 experience preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional, approachable demeanor with a strong sense of discretion and integrity.
