48 Group is a real estate investment company that includes a robust property management team located in North Scottsdale, AZ. We have recently expanded our organization to include third-party management extending our high standard to more communities.
We are looking for a Junior Property Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The Property Accountant is responsible for preparing the monthly financial statements and ad hoc reporting. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial information for month end and year end close
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for 8-10 properties, including financial statements and supporting documentation
- Bank Reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
- Balance sheet tie outs completed for every property every month
- Expense reconciliation and review every month, including recurring contracts
- Prepare journal entries and review general ledger for accuracy
- Complete a pre-close weekly checklist
- Effective communication with Property Managers and Regional Directors to ensure accurate and timely information related to financial reporting
- Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Perform other duties and ad hoc projects within the scope of the job duties and responsibilities
Key Performance Indicators:
- Meet the monthly close deadline for each property as assigned by your manager
- Tie outs must be 100% complete with variances and discrepancies identified
- Weekly close checklist turned in on time
- Bank rec reviewed weekly and complete on the first business day of the month
- By 90 days of employment financial packages are submitted that require less than 10 corrections from review
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar business-related field or 1-2 years accounting experience
- Experience in Property Management or Multi-Entity Accounting is preferred
- Experience with preparing accrual financial statements
- Experience with Entrata is preferred but not required
