General Accountant

Position Summary:

The General Accountant’s primary role is to perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger duties as part of the Corporate Accounting team. Additional responsibilities include knowledge transfer activities, process improvement, and technology implementation support. A successful candidate for the role must be detail-oriented, resourceful, organized, customer-focused, deadline-driven, and a team player.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of month-end financial statements
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for high level accounts
• Maintain and operate standard period-end closing schedules
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries related to assigned areas of accounting
• Perform daily treasury control activities
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Fixed assets and lease accounting
• Support projects, implementations, and knowledge transfers as assigned
• Ensure timely response to internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to the design and operation of the internal control framework

Required skills:

• Strong written and spoken communication
• Proficient understanding of basic principles of accounting
• Excellent time management and detail orientation
• Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in multi-location/entity or public company experience
• Public company or external audit experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Proficiency with accounting technology including Microsoft office
• Experience with One Stream preferred

This role is 100% onsite in Scottsdale AZ.
