Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Senior Accountant for our client. This position offers hands-on experience managing general ledger activities, financial reporting, and accounting for multiple renewable energy projects within a large, high-performing organization.

As a Senior Accountant
, you will work closely with the Supervisor and Director of Corporate & Operations Accounting to ensure accurate financial management, internal controls, and timely reporting, while supporting audits, ad hoc projects, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes within established time frames.
• Prepare and assist in quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements in accordance with compliance requirements.
• Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Collaborate with Development and Construction teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for projects at different stages.
• Respond to ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders and support special projects as assigned.
• Support standalone and parent/affiliate company audits, including compiling statements, footnote schedules, and providing requested data to external auditors.
• Work with internal departments such as Treasury, Asset Management, Engineering, and Procurement to ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and assist in identifying areas for process improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• CPA and/or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP, One Stream, or other ERP/accounting systems.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for financial and analytical computations.
• Knowledge of the power and utility industry preferred.
• Experience reviewing legal agreements for accounting implications is a plus.
