POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician 2 will provide assistance in all aspects of maintenance such as welding, electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
REPORTS TO:
Maintenance Supervisor
SUPERVISES: N/A
Essential Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Preventive maintenance/repair mobile equipment, furnaces, power supplies and plant operational equipment
- Complete work orders & PM paperwork
- Welding and fabrication
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental processes
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes
EDUCATION AND/OR
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 years of Maintenance Tech experience (internally) or 5 years previous documented industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required
- Industrial maintenance or millwright or welding experience within other manufacturing facilities
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in MIG and TIG, stick welding, torching plasma, and fabrication
- Self-starter, dependable and work well with other team members.
- Physical Activity:
Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs. - Physical Requirements:
Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
