Regional West is a Level II Trauma Center and the primary referral hub for Western Nebraska. Their Birth and Infant Care Center is the only one in the region offering specialized OB/Pediatric staff 24/7. This role is "Full-Spectrum OB," meaning you’ll be expected to handle everything from active labor and circulating C-sections to postpartum recovery and neonatal stabilization.

🩺 Role Highlights
Unit Dynamics:
The center features 4 Labor & Delivery suites, 3 triage rooms, and 11 Postpartum rooms. It is also home to an 8-bed Level II NICU.
Clinical Scope:
Monitor maternal/fetal well-being, manage labor progression, and assist in deliveries. You must be competent in circulating for C-sections within the unit's dedicated surgical suite.
NICU & Peds:
While the primary focus is L&D and Mother/Baby, experience in the NICU or Pediatrics is highly desired, as you may assist with premature or critically ill infants.
Safety First:
You will participate in the Postpartum Alert Initiative, using teal wristbands to identify and protect mothers during the critical 6-week post-delivery window.
📋 Mandatory Requirements
Experience:
Verifiable experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Circulation.
Certifications:
Current ACLS, NRP, and BLS (AHA) are required.
Licensure:
Active Nebraska or Compact RN License.
Preferred
Skills:
Scrubbing for C-sections, NICU, and Pediatric nursing.
