JR Housekeeper Full-Time - Western Nebraska Veterans' Home Scottsbluff (Open)

Scottsbluff, NE

$16.52/hour PLUS $3/hour differential for every hour worked;
Equals $19.52 per hour!

Full–time position, 8‑hour shift – 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.;
Set schedule, work every other weekend.

• Clean members’ rooms, restrooms and facility offices to include walls, windows, and ceilings.
• Remove laundry from living areas; assist with delivery of clean linen and personal items to residents’ rooms.
• Empty trash containers, perform carpet care including vacuuming, spot removal & shampooing.
• Perform other floor cleaning duties, mop, and other duties as assigned.

• Minimum Qualifications: No specific education, training, or experience is required for entry to this class.
• Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge and cleaning experience in a commercial business, hospital, medical building or long‑term care facility.
• Pre‑employment background check and drug screening required.
• Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, furniture and floors using disinfectants and chemicals.
• Wash walls, windows, and ceilings; sweep, mop, scrub, strip, and refinish, wax, and polish floor surfaces.
• Empty containers, replace liners, remove trash from buildings; clean public areas to ensure high standards of sanitation and safety.
• Remove and wash/launder soiled rags, mop heads, and cleaning items as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Knowledge of facility standards of sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Follow written or oral instructions.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, and mix cleaning solutions in proper proportions.
• Operate heavy commercial cleaning equipment and move/lift up to 75 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs.
