The Camp Recovery Center is a 74-bed treatment center providing services to adults on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. This PRN position is part of the patient care team focused on safety, support, and a nurturing environment for clients at The Camp in Scotts Valley.

Compensation for roles at THE CAMP RECOVERY CENTER varies by location, role, skill set, and experience. The facility provides a reasonable hourly range as required by local law. For this role in California, the calculated hourly range is $24.00 per hour plus a $3.00 overnight differential.

This is a PRN Patient Care Tech position. Shifts are 8 hours and overtime eligible.

• Demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety and provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals or as required by individualized supervision guidelines.
• Document timely, accurate clinical information in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist in providing a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
• May oversee or assist with activities of daily living and related tasks (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, hydration, changing bed linens).
• May obtain patient vital signs, height and weight as assigned and document in the patient record.
• Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups covering topics such as social skills, coping skills, anger management, and independent living skills.
• Engage patients in activities designed to support treatment goals.
• Complete and maintain required documentation; assist with follow-up and paperwork related to incidents or events.
• May provide transportation for patients or coordinate transportation with appropriate staff.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers; address concerns and prioritize patient safety.

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the facility’s population preferred.

• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available on hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

• RADT licensure (if applicable).
