This is a PRN Patient Care Tech position. Shifts are 8 hours and are overtime eligible.
Essential Functions- Demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety and provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure patient well-being and provide a positive, supportive, structured environment.
- Conduct safety checks and supervise as required (15-minute intervals or per individual guidelines).
- Document timely, accurate clinical information in the patient’s medical record.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
- Assist with activities of daily living as needed (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration, bed linens).
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, height, and weight as assigned.
- Facilitate educational and rehabilitative groups covering topics such as social skills, coping skills, anger management, and independent living skills.
- Engage patients in activities aligned with treatment goals.
- Complete and maintain required documentation; assist with follow-up and incident paperwork as needed.
- Provide or coordinate transportation for patients as required.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude; address and resolve patient concerns; prioritize patient safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Six months or more experience with the facility’s population preferred.
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available on hire).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
- RADT licensure
