Overview
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering outstanding guest service while performing front desk operations at our newly opened Home2 Suites by Hilton in Lafayette, Louisiana. This role is the first and last point of contact for our guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and memorable stay.
Responsibilities- Greet guests warmly and provide a friendly, professional first impression
- Check guests in and out efficiently while following brand and property standards
- Handle reservations, room assignments, and guest requests accurately
- Process payments, authorizations, and adjustments
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest questions, concerns, and service requests
- Resolve guest issues or complaints in a calm and professional manner, escalating when needed
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area
- Follow all safety, security, and cash-handling procedures
- Uphold Hilton brand standards and deliver the Home2 Suites guest experience
- Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, positive attitude with a guest-first mindset
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills; hotel property management system experience a plus
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to move throughout the property as needed
