Position: Substitute School Nurse-(District Wide)
POSITION OVERVIEW:

Come join our "home away from home" public school community and work alongside our experienced nursing team in a friendly and welcoming environment!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide nursing coverage for staff nurse absences, field trips, health screenings or professional development days.

Provide nursing services to the student population on a day-to-day, as-needed basis.

Provide triage, nursing assessment, and treatment of illness and injury.

Administer medications as needed.

Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness.

Communicate with parents, faculty/staff, and healthcare providers as needed.

Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or the Director of Nursing

QUALIFICATIONS
- REQUIRED:

* Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.

* Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid.

* Experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.

* Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:

* Bachelor's Degree

TERMS:

Three paid days of orientation, $140.00 per diem rate, the school day is 6.5 hours.
