Overview
The Memory Support Program Director oversees staff, develops programs, and manages daily operations within a dementia care setting. They lead interdepartmental teams, ensure quality activities meet residents' physical, social, spiritual, and recreational needs, and maintain compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities- Plan and evaluate activity programs
- Supervise staff
- Chart progress
- Assist residents
- Manage budgets
- Ensure excellent patient service
- Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or related field
- Active licensure
- Prior geriatrics experience
- Dementia care certification (DCP preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in patient assessment and memory care
