Job Summary

As a Carrier Sales Representative at Magna Transport Solutions, you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining strategic relationships with carrier partners. Your role involves sourcing, negotiating, and securing capacity to meet customer demands while delivering exceptional service. Core

Responsibilities
  • Build Relationships:
    Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with carriers, understanding their preferred lanes, strengths, and operations.
  • Sourcing & Procurement:
    Identify and onboard new carriers using research, leads, and company tools to expand capacity options.
  • Negotiation:
    Secure competitive rates by analyzing market conditions, negotiating with carriers, and creating mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Handle Complex Loads:
    Manage difficult, time-sensitive, and JIT shipments with precision, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication:
    Maintain consistent communication with carriers and internal account managers to ensure outstanding customer and carrier service.
  • Execution:
    Monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries, troubleshoot operational challenges, and proactively address delays.
  • Data Management:
    Keep carrier records up-to-date, manage RFP bids, and leverage data insights to optimize freight matching.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with the sales and operations teams to align strategies and deliver seamless solutions to our clients.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a 3PL setting (carrier sales preferred).
  • Proficient in transportation market trends, pricing strategies, and DOT compliance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation expertise with a focus on creating win-win partnerships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a self-starter attitude.
  • Tech-savvy:
    Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and transportation software tools.
  • Solutions-oriented team player with exceptional problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
