. This position supports students through comprehensive psychological and educational services.
The School Psychologist will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services to support students’ academic achievement, social-emotional development, and mental health. The role involves close collaboration with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers to ensure students receive appropriate supports and services aligned with their needs.
- Location: In-person (no hybrid or remote options available) in Cook County, IL
- Hours: Full-time (standard school-based hours)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- School Year: 2026–2027
- Conduct psycho educational evaluations and re-evaluations in compliance with IDEA and Illinois regulations.
- Interpret assessment results and present findings at IEP and eligibility meetings.
- Collaborate with educators and support teams to develop and implement effective interventions.
- Provide consultation and support related to student behavior, learning, and mental health needs.
- Participate in crisis response, threat assessments, and school-based mental health initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and compliance records.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement (required).
- Strong knowledge of psycho educational assessment tools and special education law.
