We bridge mechanical, electrical, and digital engineering to support connected, intelligent, and data‑driven offshore operations, enabling smarter and safer offshore energy activities.
What We Offer
The opportunity to shape the digital future of offshore energy, including wind turbine installation technology.
A dynamic environment where you work hands‑on with edge devices, cloud systems, and automation tools.
A small, supportive, multidisciplinary team with strong ownership and room for personal initiative.
Access to global NOV expertise and professional development pathways.
A flexible work environment, 25 vacation days + 12 AVD days, and competitive NOV benefits.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
Configure and maintain edge devices used for collecting data from offshore control systems (e.g., jacking systems, cranes).
Validate, map, and manage operational data to ensure accurate and secure transfer to the NOV Max Platform.
Troubleshoot OT/IT connectivity issues across edge, network, and cloud layers.
Automate deployments and configurations using Ansible and related automation tools.
Support development teams and customers with data integration, system setup, and application usage.
Participate in Agile sprints and collaborate with international, cross‑functional teams.
Contribute to system architecture improvements by providing insights during design reviews.
Apply cybersecurity best practices in all configurations and system interactions.
Desired (Additional) Responsibilities
Participate in offshore visits to support equipment commissioning or troubleshooting.
Assist in developing documentation, operational guides, or automation scripts to improve team workflows.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mechatronics, automation, or a similar technical field – ensures foundational engineering and IT knowledge.
0–3 years of experience in a relevant engineering or IT environment – demonstrates readiness to grow in this hybrid OT/IT role.
Proficiency in Linux administration, scripting, and basic networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
Understanding of cybersecurity principles for secure system configuration.
Experience or strong interest in scripting and automation.
Exposure to AWS, Git Hub workflows, CI/CD, and basic SQL.
Familiarity with Ansible or equivalent automation frameworks.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with industrial control systems, edge devices, or OT environments.
Knowledge of cloud integration, IoT data flows, or industrial digitalization concepts.
Previous experience in offshore, maritime, or energy sectors.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability.
Effective communicator across both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Proactive, self‑driven, and eager to learn new technologies.
Organized and responsible, capable of managing multiple tasks.
Team‑oriented mindset that contributes positively to an Agile environment.
Customer‑focused with a commitment to quality outcomes.
Why Join Us?
Join a team that is modernizing the offshore energy industry through innovation and data‑driven technology. At Gusto
MSC Digital Solutions, you will contribute directly to the systems that power next‑generation offshore equipment. You will gain exposure to OT/IT integration, cloud engineering, and automation while working in a collaborative, international environment.
