What to expect of the ‘Discipline Lead Mechanical Engineering for Services’ position within Huisman?

The Services organization is a dynamic and growing environment focused on delivering client satisfaction. We support our clients through urgent issue resolution, operational support, equipment upgrades, warranty handling, and more. Working closely with both our internal operations team and external clients, we provide engineering support that adds real value.

To meet increasing demand, we are looking for a Discipline Lead Mechanical Engineering for Services to join our team.

• Lead and coach members of the mechanical engineering team for Services.
• Align activities with the global mechanical engineering group for Services.
• Provide expert technical advice to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Backoffice support for the execution of service projects during production and in the field.

You are:

• Client-focused and committed to delivering value.
• A collaborative team player who thrives in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
• Capable of working independently.

You have:

• 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong technical skills in both mechanical design and structural engineering.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
• Leadership skills to guide and coach your team.
• A hands‑on mentality and a strong sense of urgency.
• A broad perspective that goes beyond mechanical engineering.
• A keen eye for process optimization and cross‑disciplinary improvements.

• An EU passport is a requirement, due to the smooth application of work permits within the European Union.
• A good command of the English language verbally and in writing.
