Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive team player to join our team. The ideal candidate will support daily operations, ensure efficient communication, and assist with dispatch, warehouse, and administrative tasks. This role requires strong analytical skills, transportation planning, and effective communication with team members and clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with drivers and dispatchers.
- Communicate with customers, dispatchers, and drivers regarding delays, issues, and updates.
- Assist with dispatching and loading trucks.
- Track and verify truck locations prior to delivery.
- Verify product information, including case counts, temperature readings, and pallet counts on active loads.
- Answer, screen, and resolve incoming calls.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Handle data entry, implement, and audit safety regulations, and provide safety training.
- Develop relationships with drivers, partners, and contractors to promote safety initiatives.
- Conduct onboarding and qualification of new driver applicants.
- Review safety reports daily and distribute them appropriately.
- Verify invoices and payables before closing loads.
- Assist accounting with invoicing loads.
- Perform daily data entry, file management, and scanning.
Job Requirements:
- Data entry
- Assisting in billing
- Filing
- Computer proficiency (Windows preferred)
- Proficiency with Quick Books and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Internet skills
- Forklift operation experience
- Effective telephone skills
- Bilingual abilities preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Attention to detail
- Positive customer service attitude
- Accounting knowledge is a plus
Qualifications:
- Experience or knowledge in transportation management, dispatching, or Quick Books is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills for data interpretation.
- Excellent typing skills for efficient data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous logistics experience is a plus but not required.
