Logistics Specialist - Fab Shop

Position Summary

The Logistics Specialist has responsibility for managing and maintaining inventory of tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition. This role also supports project personnel by delivering tools, responding to material requisitions, and handling consumables and other support services as needed.

• Purchases tools and equipment as requested by manager and prepares tool orders.
• Drives and delivers tools and equipment to locations as needed.
• Ensures tools and equipment are in proper order and performs general maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Performs shipping and handling duties, including driving a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, and receiving deliveries.
• Conducts general building maintenance, such as moving office supplies between buildings, yard work (leaf blowing, garbage removal, sweeping), and installing or hanging fixtures.
• Conducts general inventory checks, stocks shelves as necessary, and informs manager of items that need to be reordered.

• High School diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Forklift certification required
• CDL license and first‑aid certifications preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi‑task
• Attention to detail
• Basic Microsoft Office—Word and Excel skills
• Basic organization and planning skills
