Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is actively hiring compassionate Caregivers and Home Care Aides to provide non‑medical, in‑home care to seniors and adults in Schererville, IN and surrounding Lake & Porter County areas.

  days, evenings, weekends
• One‑on‑one client care (no facility staffing)
• Paid orientation and ongoing training

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation, and transfers
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organizing
• Assist with safe mobility (walker or wheelchair)
• Provide medication reminders only (no medication administration)
• Monitor and report changes in client condition
• Document care using our mobile timekeeping and care app
• Follow all safety, infection control, and agency policies

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, nursing home, or similar)
• CNA experience is a plus but not required
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Ability to pass a national background check
• Current CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional
• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation
