Overview
This is an in-office position. Candidates must be able to work onsite full time.
About the Role: Barrister Title is a growing, well-respected title insurance company looking for a detail-loving, people-focused Escrow Assistant / Scheduler to help keep our closings running smoothly and our clients well cared for.
This is a hands-on role in a small, collaborative office where your organization skills, communication style, and problem-solving abilities truly matter. You’ll be a key support for both clients and teammates, and no two days will look exactly the same.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day flow of real estate transactions, including:
- Scheduling closings and coordinating remote refinance packages for notaries.
- Balancing and funding escrow files accurately and efficiently.
- Receiving and processing earnest money deposits.
- Helping keep transactions moving forward by anticipating needs and resolving issues.
- Serving as a friendly, reliable point of contact for clients, lenders, agents, and internal team members.
- 2+ years of customer service experience (loan processing or real estate experience is a plus).
- Notary commission preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Soft Pro experience is a bonus. - Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport with clients.
- A positive, team-first attitude and willingness to jump in where needed.
- Calm, thoughtful problem-solving skills — you stay steady when things get busy and genuinely enjoy helping people through important moments.
