Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A travel opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support educational institutions in Schenectady, NY, and surrounding areas. This role offers the chance to apply your expertise in psychological assessment and counseling within diverse school environments, helping students achieve academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' learning needs and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues affecting student performance
- Assist in crisis intervention and response within school settings
- Support data-driven decision-making to enhance student outcomes and promote mental health awareness
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with diverse student populations and educational teams
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel between schools and adapt to varying educational environments
