Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Corporate Quality Department to develop, implement, and maintain quality policies and procedures
- Coordinate with divisional and cross-functional teams to address quality issues and ensure compliance with established procedures
- Serve as a subject matter expert and training resource for quality-related processes across departments
- Present quality information and findings to customers and vendors as required
- Manage, track, and respond to corrective and preventive action requests
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of customer complaints and claims
- Communicate and coordinate quality matters with steel mills and external partners
- Support the evaluation and selection of suppliers and customers from a quality perspective
- Prepare and submit First Article Inspection and PPAP documentation
- Conduct internal and external quality audits
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality system documentation
- Perform process capability studies, gage R&R studies, and oversee inspection equipment calibration activities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Hands‑on experience with IATF standards
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO management systems
- Lean Six Sigma certification required
- Proficient in standard business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong understanding of the steel industry and associated products
- Experience with computerized document control systems
- Working knowledge of inventory management and materials production processes
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
- Strong background in inventory control and materials management
- Proficient in quality and environmental management systems
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
