Entry Level Food Science Technologist - Food Manufacturer; at ActivRecruitment & Solut

A global food manufacturing company is looking for a motivated Entry Level Food Technologist in the Schaumburg, IL area. The ideal candidate would have 0
-2 years working experience for product development, quality control/assurance in food industries.

• Assist with lab sample preparation and formula adjustments
• Conduct basic laboratory analysis and prepare documents for external testing
• Research and evaluate new ingredients; maintain ingredient records and stock levels
• Receive and manage COAs from factories and labs
• Perform sensory evaluations of retain samples
• Support factory audits, on-site production tests, and lab equipment calibration
• Maintain retain sample storage and equipment records
• Prepare and organize technical documents
• Communicate with suppliers and factories to gather technical information
• Respond to customer inquiries with researched technical support
• Perform general administrative duties: document filing, shipping coordination, office upkeep, and guest reception

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Biology, or Nutrition
• 0–2 years of experience in product development, QA/QC, or food manufacturing
• Basic lab skills and familiarity with equipment (pH meter, viscometer, etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  PowerPoint and Access a plus
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• This position will not support visa sponsor ships
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
