Senior Benefits Specialist

$85,000–$95,000 + bonus

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Benefits Specialist:

• Administer full-cycle employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), HSA/FSA

• Manage open enrollment, COBRA administration, and life event changes (new hires, separations, status updates)

• Perform monthly and biweekly benefit audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Support biweekly and monthly payroll processing for ~900 employees across multiple states

• Process expatriate payroll items including pay statements, fringe benefits, and rebill management (15 expats)

• Maintain accurate employee data within HRIS and payroll systems

• Create and maintain compensation, benefits, accrual, and general reporting

• Support year-end reporting including W-2, W-2c, and ACA requirements

• Partner with leadership on process improvement initiatives and system enhancements

• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to benefits and payroll

Ideal Background for a Senior Benefits Specialist:

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

• 3+ years of experience in benefits administration with light to moderate payroll exposure

• Experience supporting mid-sized to large organizations (100+ employees preferred)

• Familiarity with open enrollment, COBRA, and employee life cycle changes

• ADP Workforce Now experience preferred (other large HRIS systems welcomed)

• Strong Excel skills (lookups, reporting, reconciliations)

• High attention to detail with strong confidentiality and professionalism

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
