Tax Analyst

Zurich North America is hiring a Tax Analyst to join the Finance team! We are open to hiring talent in our Zurich office located in Schaumburg, IL. The successful candidate under guidance will perform routine tax transactional tasks and resolve a range of straight forward problems in tax accounting, reporting, planning, audits, research and/or compliance to ensure actions are completed to appropriate service levels or defined procedures.

This is a hybrid work position. The selected candidate will report in person to the Schaumburg, IL North American headquarters on average three times per week.

• Prepare tax returns and supporting work papers, estimated tax payments and various other tax compliance.
• Assist in preparing quarterly tax provisions, including reports to management and the external auditor, account reconciliations, tax basis balance sheet support, and execution of internal controls.
• Support company tax audits, responses to tax notices, and timely resolution of other tax controversy matters.
• Perform basic technical research to address tax issues, including planning opportunities.
• Provide other tax support, which may include analyses of pending legislation, preparation of required transfer pricing documentation and reporting, and implementation of legislative changes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and No prior experience required in the Accounting and Finance area
  OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Accounting and Finance area

• CPA
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Master’s Degree
• Accounting and/or tax internship and/or professional experience in public or corporate accounting
• Experience with Corp Tax and/or SAP

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $49,500.00 - $81,000.00, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
