Our bank client seeks a Loan Operations Assistant Manager in Schaumburg, IL. The role involves managing loan operations staff, receptionist, and supervising loan support staff (Admins and Processors).

This position offers a salary up to $90K and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily loan report review processes and developing procedures to reduce errors.
• Contributing to department initiatives on workflow, technology, and process improvements.
• Reconciliation of loan-specific general ledger accounts and processing loan-related accounts payable.
• Monitoring workflow to ensure efficient loan request processing.
• Overseeing due diligence and documentation, including mortgage title insurance, hazard and flood insurance, appraisals, security lien requirements, and loan documentation review.
• Creating and distributing loan reports for the department, management, and the Board of Directors.
• Acting as the bank liaison with the core processor (Fiserv) on product specifications, transactions, loan maintenance, and system issues.
• Conducting performance reviews for direct reports and providing performance data for Loan Admins and Processors.

Skills and experience required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least three years of supervisory experience in loans.
• Five or more years of loan processing and documentation experience.
• Expertise in all areas of loan processing and documentation.
• Proficiency with standard software (spreadsheets, word processing, databases, scheduling).
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
• Experience in writing and delivering performance reviews.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
