This internship is designed to deliver immediate, meaningful value to the business while providing you with hands‑on, real‑world experience within a fast‑paced, global consumer products organization.

Our Intern Program

Providing a meaningful opportunity for pre‑professionals, like yourself, to forward your career through real‑world work experience and a chance to stimulate and develop your interests, skills and abilities are key goals for our interns in the Fellowes Forward Summer Internship Program. Not only that, but as a valued part of the team, you are adding unmatched value and a clear impact to our business by providing fresh perspectives to old problems and processes, bringing added resources to support critical tasks and projects, and invigorating our culture and dynamic through your positive and eager‑to‑learn attitude!

Duration: 12 weeks (May‑August)
Hours
:
Full‑time, 40 hours/week Pay
: $23/hour Location
:
Schaumburg Schedule
:
Onsite at least 3 days/week, Tuesday Thursday. Ideal that the intern is also in office on Mondays.

During your time with us, you will…
  • FA sample archiving and organization
  • Device storage management and tracking
  • Bill of Specification (BOS) development and clean‑up for existing items
  • Collaboration with Fellowes Asia to support the development of modular SLAs for new devices coming to market (e.g., future iPhone generations)
  • Support for CAD reviews, 3D printing, and 2D scanning activities
  • Establishing structure around Golden Samples, tooling samples, and overall project sample archiving

These efforts will ensure faster, more accurate access to essential data and physical samples, helping to enhance speed, accuracy, and consistency across product development. In short, this role will free up engineering and product resources, strengthen foundational processes, and build systems that continue benefiting the team long after the internship ends.

In addition, you will gain hands‑on exposure to real‑world product workflows—from sample management and CAD review to modular planning and 3D/2D scanning technologies—building both technical and operational skill sets. The role offers direct collaboration with cross‑functional teams, ownership of organizational improvements, and the opportunity to contribute to processes that support major retail partners. This is a strong opportunity for an intern looking to build practical experience, develop problem‑solving capabilities, and make a visible impact within a global consumer products business.

What

You Bring to the Team
  • Enrollment in an Engineering degree program, such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Ideally candidates graduating in May 2026, December 2026, or Spring 2027
