Position: Accounting Assistant (Hybrid)

$60,000 – $75,000 Annually + Full Benefits, 401K, PTO, and Hybrid!

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team and assist with daily financial operations. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth internal processes across the department.

Responsibilities
  • Process and support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are accurate and completed on time
  • Review, code, and enter vendor invoices, payments, and expense documentation
  • Assist with payroll processing and maintain payroll-related records
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies when needed
  • Maintain accurate financial data entry within accounting and ERP systems
  • Organize and maintain financial files, reports, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and basic reporting
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding billing questions, payment status, and account inquiries
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the accounting team
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of general accounting experience, including exposure to AP, AR, payroll support, or similar accounting functions
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting practices
  • Strong Excel and technical skills required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team environment
