Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting and finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate will bring 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably from public accounting, with strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to deepen their expertise in technical accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting while working closely with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities Revenue Recognition & Technical Accounting- Support the application and interpretation of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards across multiple revenue streams.
- Review contracts and customer agreements to determine proper revenue treatment.
- Prepare revenue schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation related to revenue accounting.
- Assist with the implementation, documentation, and improvement of revenue recognition policies and procedures.
- Partner with sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for financial statements and management reporting.
- Support preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements and related disclosures.
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances across revenue and related accounts.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within public accounting (Audit or Assurance) or a combination of public accounting and industry experience
- Experience or exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
