Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

We are seeking an Accountant to support payroll processing, general ledger activity, cost accounting, and expense administration. This role works closely with operations and plant leadership to ensure accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting.

• One plus year of experience in payroll and general accounting roles
• Practical knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, and multi‑state compliance
• Experience posting to and reconciling general ledger accounts
• Exposure to ADP Workforce Now and/or SAP is helpful, but not required

A significant portion of this role focuses on payroll administration for both hourly and salaried employees. Responsibilities include reviewing timekeeping data, resolving missing or incorrect entries, processing deductions and garnishments, and handling special payroll runs such as bonuses or severance payments. You will also respond to employee questions, maintain payroll documentation, prepare journal entries and accruals, and assist with government or tax-related inquiries.

You will record daily banking activity, post payroll transactions, and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts. The role also maintains cash tracking schedules and SAP posting templates, while providing backup support for accounts payable when needed.

This position reviews and approves employee expense submissions, ensuring proper coding and policy compliance. You’ll audit reports, maintain the expense reporting platform, and post credit card activity to the general ledger.

You will assist with product cost maintenance through daily roll‑ups and weekly KPI calculations. The role supports ongoing cost analysis and periodic reviews used by plant and finance leadership.
