Behaviour Mentor

Location: Scarborough
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full‑Time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor to support secondary‑aged pupils within a specialist alternative provision in the Scarborough area.

The provision supports pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance to re‑engage with education. Relationship building, consistency and mentoring are central to the school’s approach.

• Provide mentoring and emotional support to identified pupils.
• Support behaviour regulation and social development.
• Act as a consistent and trusted adult.
• Encourage engagement with learning and routines.
• Work closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams.

• Experience mentoring or supporting vulnerable young people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Calm, reflective and consistent approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
