Position: OR Nurse (RN) | Scarborough, Maine
An experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years Level 1 trauma training is sought for a contract position in Scarborough, ME, specializing in gynecology and genitourinary surgical procedures. This role requires proficiency in robotics (Davinci Xi), PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies. Candidates must be comfortable caring for patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative nursing care with a focus on gynecology and genitourinary cases
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including robotics and specialized instrumentation
• Collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital protocols
• Participate in trauma call rotation, including overnight shifts when required

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse licensure with at least 3 years of Level 1 trauma experience
• Competence with robotic surgery systems (Davinci Xi) and a variety of GU/GYN surgical procedures
• Current CNOR certification preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including 1 out of 4 weekends
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and surgical equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus
