Join a highly skilled surgical nursing team at a leading Level One Trauma Center specializing in gynecology and genitourinary procedures. This contract role seeks an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' Level 1 trauma training to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have advanced robotic surgery competencies and comfort managing patients across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with and provide perioperative nursing care for gynecologic and genitourinary surgeries, including hysterectomies, cystectomies, and ureteroscopy.
  • Operate advanced surgical equipment, such as Da Vinci Xi robotics, Storz, Stryker, and Olympus technologies.
  • Provide expert care during complex procedures, including PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, colpocleisis, and hysteroscopy.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Fulfill call duties, including overnight trauma call, and participate in specialty team on-call rotations as required.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards in a high-stress trauma operating room.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Registered Nurse with minimum 2 years of perioperative experience; at least 3 years Level 1 trauma training.
  • Competence with robotics and advanced surgical procedures in gynecology and genitourinary specialties.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records.
  • Ability to manage a 1:1 patient ratio in a 26-bed OR setting.
  • Team player with flexibility, accountability, and punctuality.
Schedule:
  • 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
  • Guaranteed 36 hours weekly.
  • Weekend rotation approximately 1:4.
  • Call requirements include one overnight trauma call (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
