Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - IV THERAPY - BACKFILL
Location: Scarborough, ME 04074
Duration: 12 Months+ (Possibility of Extension)
Start Date: ASAP Start.
Position Overview- Infusion nurse providing IV therapy care, including the administration of chemotherapy/immunotherapy.
- IV Therapy RN.
- Trained/certified to administer chemo/immunotherapy.
- The Outpatient IV Therapy Nurse, in collaboration with the patients care team, evaluates each patients appropriateness for treatment and provides direct patient care as ordered.
- Care provided includes, but is not limited to, the administration of oncologic and non-oncologic medications, including high risk and/or hazardous compounds (if the administering nurse is appropriately credentialed), the administration of blood products and other supportive care treatments, and the provision of urgent/emergent medical care to patients experiencing a medical emergency in the outpatient infusion setting.

- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card.
- None.
- Number of Chairs: 21 infusion spaces, average daily census of 46 patients per day.
- Patient Ratios: varies based on length/type/acuity of treatments provided but ranges from 1:7 to 1:9 per day.
- Equipment: IV Pump.
- EMR:
Epic.
- Peripheral IV skills.
- Central line care.
- Med administration.
- Blood transfusions.
- Chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration.
- Outpatients.
- Self initiator.
