Overview
Piper Shores is Maine’s premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Care for our residents with a person-centered approach to care. The Wellness CNA works with Independent Living residents to provide assistance with activities of daily living while promoting independence and well-being. This is a full-time, Monday‑Friday position with hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities- Develop and foster relationships with residents, understanding their individual care needs and preferences.
- Assist with ADLs while promoting independence, dignity and respect.
- Perform light housekeeping assistance such as tidying up living spaces and changing linens.
- Provide personal care visits.
- Accurately document interactions with the Wellness Center, maintain proficiency in scheduling software with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Check vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen levels, support lab specimen collection and assist with donning and doffing.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, pendants, and pull cords, notify the Community Wellness Nurse or security as necessary.

- Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with seniors and co‑workers.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. English fluency required.
- Ability to stand and move for an extended period of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently required.
