Overview

Johns Bay Coastal Alliance (JBCA) is accepting applications for the position of Principal at Bristol Consolidated School beginning July 1, 2026. Bristol Consolidated School serves approximately 190 students in grades Pre-K through 8 and employs about 45 professionals.

• Foster a collaborative school environment with stakeholders to cultivate a positive climate and support students’ academic and social-emotional development.
• Communicate clearly and purposefully with all stakeholders (teachers, students, families, and community).
• Possess strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Hold high expectations for student and staff learning.
• Be energetic, visible, good-humored, and student-centered.

• Maine Department of Education certification as a building administrator (040) or eligibility for such certification.
• Master’s degree or higher in education, administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience.
