We operate three full-service hospitals and several community-based locations, with essential services including emergency, diagnostic imaging, surgery, and rehabilitation care.

Key responsibilities:

· Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site.

· Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities

· Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.

· Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff as needed during crises

· Greeting and assisting visitors, patients, and hospital staff

· De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally

· Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately

· Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved

· Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed

Prerequisites:

· Valid Security License for the province of Ontario

· Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider

· Covid Vaccine two doses

· Must be willing to complete N95 Mask fit testing during the training

· English (oral and written) fluency is a must

· Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred

· Legally authorized to work in Canada
