What is the Opportunity?

The Hayter Group is an independent and wholly owned subsidiary of Aecon Group Inc, bringing energy solutions to residential customers in Ontario. This includes a wide range of heating/cooling solutions such as furnace, geothermal, heat pump products and solar solutions for both new build and retrofit homes.

The Project Coordinator, Green Energy Services will get exposure to various facets of our HVAC and Green Energy portfolio.

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables and requests for information.
  • Coordinates site procurement activities including preparation of purchase requisitions, materials tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the field.
  • Supports with quantity HVAC, Solar, Geothermal, and Hydronic take-off within the design phase and from construction drawings where applicable.
  • Aids Project Manager with any estimates related to oral and/or written communications with clients.
  • Supports with costs research for price modelling, pricing, and tender submissions
  • Maintains files and correspondence on active and completed projects.
  • Incorporates and complies with The Hayter Group Health & Safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Drives positive relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support with day-to-day operations of The Hayter Group
  • Other duties as required
  • What You Bring to the Team:

  • Current student or recent graduate of Energy systems engineering, Energy management, Construction management programs or equivalent.
  • Engineering experience or equivalent technical knowledge in the renewable energy industry an asset.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Excel / Word / MS Outlook, MS Teams.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or with others as a team
  • Be a Champion of inclusion and diversity
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
