Licensed Salary Schedule, Per negotiated contract (Range: $56,530 - $104,459 annually: DOE; Pro-rated for actual FTE worked)

0.40 - 0.60 FTE (Schedule flexible; 16 to 24 hours per week)

BCBA's are encouraged to apply. Position is LIMITED-TERM through the end of 2025/26 School Year.

General Description

To provide direct service and to assist program staff in responding effectively and appropriately to the behavior‑emotional, social skills development, and academic support needs of students experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges in the school program environment.

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Master's Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, special education, or equivalent.
  • Successful experience with the practices and application of behavior intervention techniques, social skills development, effective communication with students, and consultation strategies with staff.
  • Direct experience with students who have emotional and behavioral problems.
  • Appropriate Oregon TSPC Certification or Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification.
  • Bilingual and bicultural skills in common languages preferred by NWRESD.
  • Valid driver’s license; vehicle available for use on the job; accompanying automobile insurance.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through participation in professional development activities.
Essential Functions
  • Conduct observations to assist with the evaluation of students’ behavior and social skill level.
  • Prepare records, reports, recommendations, and correspondence as necessary.
  • Consult with program staff in developing and implementing crisis prevention and intervention plans, including behavioral programs, teacher strategies, home intervention plans, and mobilization of community resources for킹direct services.
  • Schedule and/or participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings and conferences to support identification, planning, and implementation of educational services, including development of behavior plans to improve student academic functioning and social adjustment.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to determine appropriate Individual Education Programs and placement for eligible students.
  • Coordinate activities with other staff or appropriate IEP implementation.
  • Develop and implement social skills programs.
  • Implement or assist with appropriate student discipline and crisis intervention.
  • Consult with local school district staff regarding transition support for students returning to a home school environment.
  • Refer to and consult with community agencies to coordinate individual services for students and/or families.
  • Obtain and maintain skills in one or more of Oregon’s approved de‑escalation systems, including obtaining certification to become a certified trainer.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
