We are a fast-growing recycling and logistics company seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support daily field, yard, and route operations.
This role exists to ensure mornings run smoothly, problems are handled early, and operations stay consistent as the company grows. The ideal candidate enjoys being the first one in, taking ownership, and solving real‑world operational issues in a fast‑paced environment.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, not a desk‑only position.

- Adjust routes, assignments, and resources as needed
- Communicate clearly with drivers, yard staff, and office team
- Maintain calm, consistent leadership under pressure
- Provide a concise daily operations summary
- Log issues, actions taken, and outcomes
- Help document procedures so operations don’t rely on one person

- Help build structure, consistency, and operational redundancy
- Routes leave on time
- Fewer after‑hours or before start of day issues
- Clear, organized communication
- Problems handled early and documented properly
- Operations run consistently, even when leadership is not present

- Manufacturing Management
- Business Administration with an operations or logistics focus
This role requires applying education in a hands‑on, real‑world operations environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in the yard, with drivers, and in fast‑moving field conditions.
Experience & Traits- Prior experience in logistics, trucking, waste, recycling, construction, manufacturing, or yard operations preferred
- Comfortable with early‑morning schedules
- Strong decision‑making ability
- Organized, reliable, and calm under pressure
- Clear communicator who documents issues instead of escalating unnecessarily
- Prefer working late nights
- Are not comfortable starting work early
- Need constant direction or approval
- Avoid accountability
- Prefer office‑only environments
(Please read carefully before applying.)
Why Join Our Team- Stable, growing company with long‑term opportunities
- Hands‑on leadership and real responsibility
- Opportunity to grow into a senior operations role
- Early‑morning schedule often allows afternoons free (while just answering phones, documenting calls and adding calls to routes)
- Be part of a team that values consistency, accountability, and execution
- What time do you typically prefer to start your workday, and why?
- How has your college education helped you make real‑time operational decisions?
- Describe a situation where you solved a problem without calling your supervisor.
- Are you comfortable starting work consistently at 5:00–5:30 AM?
- It’s 5:15 AM. Two drivers call out and one truck won’t start. What do you do?
We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping operations moving, protecting leadership’s time, and being reliable when it matters most.
If you’re disciplined, early‑rising, and ready to grow in an operations leadership role, we’d like to hear from you.
