The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal senior executive responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). As a strategic leader, the CFO will spearhead financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability. A key aspect of this role involves maximizing reimbursement through effective oversight of the revenue cycle. The CFO will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with HRSA/FQHC regulations to maintain operational integrity.
Additionally, the CFO will handle audits, grants, and financial reporting to provide transparency and accountability. Collaborating closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors, the CFO will contribute expertise in long-term planning and decision-making to drive the organization's success and viability. Candidates for this position would ideally hold a CPA or Masters Degree, with at least a Bachelor's Degree being required for consideration.
- Proven experience in financial leadership roles
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare finance and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including executives and board members
- CPA certification and/or Masters Degree preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related field required
