Position: Warehouse Conveyable Picker – Mezzanine
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay: $17/hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM start time, shifts can last up to 12 hours
Job OverviewThe Conveyor Picker is responsible for manually picking products and preparing them for shipment based on order labels. This position is physically demanding, involving 100% repeated lifting throughout the shift. Close attention to detail and previous manual picking experience are required to succeed in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Pick products from conveyors based on order labels and prepare items for shipment
- Accurately read and place labels on boxes in order received
- Quickly and accurately distinguish product descriptions and item numbers
- Verbally communicate with replenishment drivers when inventory is low
- Maintain accurate inventory and keep appropriate records for inventory control and stock rotation
- Safely operate and shut down conveyor lines during emergencies
- Assist with physical inventories as needed
- Maintain a neat, clean, orderly, and safe working environment
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Report any safety or mechanical issues in writing
- Support other areas within the warehouse as assigned
- Perform additional duties as required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- At least six months of warehouse picking experience preferred
- Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, or other power equipment preferred
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Able to read, write, and perform basic math
- Comfortable learning and using company technology
- Able to consistently perform physically demanding work and repeated heavy lifting (50-65 lbs), including some overhead lifting
- Regular, reliable attendance is required
- Dependable, professional, and results-driven
- Excellent time management skills
- Positive attitude and flexible approach to tasks
- Effective communicator and team player
- Strong self-awareness and relationship building skills
- Fast learner who can maintain high efficiency and quality standards
- Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, exposed to heat, high humidity, and inclement weather
- Occasional work in refrigerated areas
- Moderate to loud noise level, some dust, and fumes from power equipment
