This position is responsible for the scheduling of maintenance and repairs for equipment and vehicles citywide. - Schedules and coordinates the maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintains vehicle information, maintenance and repair records in computerized system.
- Identify best times to perform preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs by partnering with external departments and understanding their scheduling needs.
- Coordinates maintenance schedules with external department staff.
- Communicate requirements of maintenance procedures including cool down times and times of scheduling.
- Assist in identifying and providing spare equipment or loaner vehicles as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a shop environment with parts or scheduling experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
Work Schedule:
M-F 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
- Knowledge of department policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of city fleet maintenance and repair procedures.
- Knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Skill in the use of computers and other office equipment.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
