The Class B CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering products to customer locations while ensuring safe transportation, accurate documentation, and excellent customer service. This role involves driving a 24-foot automatic box truck to deliver materials related to home improvement, including plumbing, kitchen, bath, and lighting products. The position requires frequent loading and unloading of materials and may include assisting with warehouse operations when deliveries are limited.
Job ResponsibilitiesOperate a 24 ft automatic box truck to deliver materials to customer locations
Transport products such as plumbing, kitchen, bath, and lighting supplies
Load and unload delivery trucks, including manual lifting of materials
Ensure all loads are properly secured and within weight limits
Obtain customer signatures on delivery tickets and verify completed deliveries
Communicate with supervisors throughout the day regarding delivery schedules and updates
Pick up customer returns and confirm materials match return documentation
Pick up local purchase orders and return packing lists to the warehouse
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and company policies
Assist with warehouse tasks such as receiving, stocking, and organizing materials when deliveries are limited
Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials within the warehouse
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Represent the company professionally while providing excellent customer service
Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Minimum of one year of experience driving Class B vehicles
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent lifting and unloading
Sit-down forklift experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage delivery routes efficiently
Ability to quickly learn product knowledge related to plumbing, kitchen, bath, and lighting materials
Frequent lifting, loading, and unloading of materials
Regularly entering and exiting the truck throughout the day
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and manual labor
