Advanced Security Technician Job Savannah area,Georgia USA,Trades / Skilled Labor

Anistar Technologies is seeking an Access Control Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

Assist teams or a crew in the installation and implementation and/or perform service for new equipment installation, equipment, or system repairs. This position supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities of an Access Control Technician:

Perform service and installation of security management solutions including access control, intrusion alarm, CCTV systems, and other security-related systems. Must be able to install, configure, and test equipment and devices until the final product is complete.

Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and test equipment and devices, performing repairs as necessary.

Perform upgrades and additions to systems to increase functionality and usability.

Enter computer programs as required to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems.

Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.

Read and understand drawings and prints to install the correct equipment in the correct locations.

Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.

Lead team and delegate tasks as needed, demonstrating proper techniques.

Be willing to perform any required tasks to complete the day's work.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
Good communication skills and the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Experience with IP-based systems.
Knowledge of Software House, Open Options, and Lenel is a plus.
