Job Title: HVAC Apprentice 1
Reports To: Service Manager
Location: Savannah, GA
Therma Serve Mechanical, Inc. (TSI) is seeking a first-year HVAC Apprentice to support our experienced Journeymen and Foremen in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands‑on experience and structured skill development while working directly on commercial and industrial projects.
This role offers the unique opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities Hands‑On Support (45%)- Assist in installing HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and related systems under supervision
- Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment for use on job sites
- Support routine maintenance and repair tasks on HVAC systems
- Learn how to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions
- Gain knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and HVAC best practices
- Develop troubleshooting and diagnostic skills through guided experience
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Follow company procedures for timekeeping, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Adhere to all company and regulatory safety protocols
- Work closely with Journeymen, Foremen, and other apprentices to complete projects
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding progress, needs, and issues
- Contribute to a positive and safe team environment
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Mechanical Aptitude: Interest in HVAC, plumbing, or other mechanical trades
- Work Ethic: Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to learning on the job
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work safely at heights
- Safety Focus: Willingness to follow strict safety protocols and training requirements
- Growth Mindset: Desire to develop into a skilled HVAC professional through training and fieldwork
