Resident Field Crane Technicians – Savannah, GA

MGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located in the Savannah, GA or surrounding area and reports to the Service Manager at the Aiken, SC branch for MGX Equipment Services.

Sign‑on bonus: $4,500 payable after 90 days continuous service. Eligible for Tool Reimbursement Program up to $1,500 per calendar year. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

• Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fill out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expense reports.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
• Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes;
  Grove GMK European Cranes;
  Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes;
  National Boom Trucks preferred.
• Must be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites and for training as required.
• Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

This is a full‑time position with typical working hours between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions. This position offers a pay range between $25.00 – $45.00 per hour depending on skills and qualifications for non‑bargaining employees. Pay is provided on a bi‑weekly basis.
