Permanent full‑time mid‑level Diesel Technician, supporting Ryder Truck Fleet in Savannah, Georgia. Immediately hiring.

• Hourly Pay: $27.50 per hour
• Certification Bonus: $100 per new ASE certification (up to $700)
• Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter
• Sign‑On Bonus: $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days

  Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification or post‑secondary degree preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work).
• Two (2) years or more of combined classroom training and work experience (preferred).
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
• Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background/motor‑vehicle check.

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard maintenance and component inspection/repair.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
• Identify root causes of failures and perform necessary repairs.
• Replace defective components as instructed.
• Perform facility maintenance duties.
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints.
• Utilize shop management system and electronic documentation.
• Adhere to federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT).
• Support operations with service island duties or other tasks as required.
