Position DetailsPermanent full‑time mid‑level Diesel Technician, supporting Ryder Truck Fleet in Savannah, Georgia. Immediately hiring.
Compensation- Hourly Pay: $27.50 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 per new ASE certification (up to $700)
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter
- Sign‑On Bonus: $1,250 at 30 days and $1,250 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday - Hours:
Second Shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
- Annual Merit Pay Increases

Requirements / Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or technical certification or post‑secondary degree preferred.
- Basic tools required.
- Demonstrated aptitude and experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, brake and tire work).
- Two (2) years or more of combined classroom training and work experience (preferred).
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
- Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire.
- Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test, and background/motor‑vehicle check.
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard maintenance and component inspection/repair.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
- Identify root causes of failures and perform necessary repairs.
- Replace defective components as instructed.
- Perform facility maintenance duties.
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaints.
- Utilize shop management system and electronic documentation.
- Adhere to federal, provincial, and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT).
- Support operations with service island duties or other tasks as required.
